Shared Gmail & Outlook labels

Assign an email to a record, and it is filed the same way in Gmail and Outlook for the whole team.

Connect Gmail, Outlook, or both. Assigning an email applies a real label or folder through the provider's own API, so it shows up the same way in every connected teammate's own inbox.

Connect your own Gmail and Outlook accounts

From the Gmail tool, connect your account once. From the Outlook tool right underneath it, connect that account too, if your firm uses it. This is what lets Diract read, label, and send email on your behalf, for whichever provider you actually use.

    Connect Gmail

Connect your Gmail account to view emails, assign them to projects, and sync project labels across your team.

    Connect with Google

We only request access to read, label, and send emails.

An admin nominates which Gmail accounts to sync from, and sets the shared archive label

Under Admin, Email, choose the Gmail accounts labels sync from, so everyone else's Gmail stays in step without configuring anything themselves. The archive label name set here is shared by both providers; Gmail's source of truth nomination is Gmail only.

Assign an email, and it is filed in every connected inbox

Assigning an email labels it in your own Gmail or Outlook, then does the same for every other connected teammate, on whichever provider they use. Gmail gets a real nested label; Outlook gets a matching subfolder plus a coloured category tag, since Outlook has no single label concept of its own.

A background pass catches anything the live one missed

Filing is pushed out the moment it happens, so the background pass is a backstop rather than the wait. It covers a teammate who joined after the label existed, a rename that needs to propagate, or a sync that failed the first time.
