Send a marketing email
Draft a marketing email, choose who gets it, and have an admin send it. Every email carries an unsubscribe link.
Draft a campaign
Click Email campaigns in the Tools rail, then New campaign.
Type a Campaign name (internal), which your customers never see, and a Subject line. Write the email in the editor below them. Live preview shows it as it will arrive.
Click Save as draft. It cannot be clicked until the campaign has a name, a subject, a body and at least one recipient.
Choose who gets it
Under Recipients, build one list three ways. Add manually takes a name and an email address: click Add. Upload CSV takes a file whose first row has an Email column, and a Name column if you have one. Select entities searches your Entities by name: tick the ones you want and click Add 3 selected, which counts what you ticked.
An address already on the list is not added twice. Click the cross beside a person to take them off.
Change or delete a draft
Click Edit beside a draft. The same form opens in its place, filled in with the draft and its recipients. Change what you need and click Save changes, or Cancel to leave it as it was.
Click the cross beside Edit and confirm to delete the draft.
Anyone can draft a campaign. Only the person who wrote a draft, or an admin, can change or delete it.
Send it
An admin clicks Send beside a draft and confirms. It goes to everyone on its list straight away, and cannot be undone.
Anybody else sees Awaiting admin approval to send beside their draft until an admin sends it.
Click the recipient count under a campaign to see each person and what happened: Pending, Sent, Failed or Unsubscribed.
