Work from the Tasks dashboard

Click Tasks under DASHBOARDS in the sidebar. The page has two boards: Tasks: your name, which is your own list, and Tasks: the firm's name, which is everyone's.

On the firm's board, click a person's chip to see their tasks. The number in brackets is how many they have open. Unallocated holds tasks nobody has yet.

Each row shows the task, how far off it is due (Due in 3 days, Due tomorrow, 3 days overdue), the matter and the due date. Click the circle to mark it done. Click the flag beside it, Log a follow-up, to book a follow-up date.

Hover a row for Add to Time & Fees, Mark done & add next task, Edit and Delete.

Get the daily Tasks due email

On a day you have a task due, you get one email at 6am your firm's time. It covers tasks assigned to you, assigned to a team you are in, or that you watch.

Under Due today, each task shows its matter, when it is Due, who it was Assigned by, who it is Assigned to and who is Watching.

Under Your other open tasks, the rest of your open tasks are listed: Overdue first, then Upcoming, then No due date. Click View in Diract to open your tasks.

To stop the email, click your picture at the bottom of the sidebar, then View profile. Under Notifications, turn off Email on the Tasks due row.

An admin can stop it for everyone: open Admin, click Email, then Notifications, and turn off Tasks due.

Finish a task and queue the next

Click Mark done & add next task on a row. The task is marked done and moves under Completed this week, and Add task opens for the next one, with the task you just finished as its prerequisite.

Click Organised view to group the list into Action, Follow up and Watching. Change a task's group with the select at the end of its row. Click Standard view to go back.
