Keep the register of investments
Record each investment your practice makes with trust money for a client, with the particulars rule 59 of the Uniform General Rules asks for, the interest and repayments on it, and print the register.

Add an investment
Pay the money out of trust first, as a trust payment on the client's matter, so the ledger shows where it went.
Click Investments in the sidebar, under Trust Account, then click Add Investment.
Choose the Matter, and enter who it is Made on behalf of and Their address. Held in the name of fills itself in as your practice's name, ATF, and the person. Change it to the name the investment is really held in.
Enter the Investment (what it is, with its account or reference number), the Amount invested, the Date invested, the Source of the investment (such as the trust cheque or EFT that paid it) and the Documents evidencing it, then click Add Investment.
Record interest and repayments
When interest is received or credited, click Interest on the investment, enter the Date, Amount and Details, and click Record Interest.
When the investment is repaid, click Repayment. Tick This repays the investment in full if it does, and click Record Repayment. A repaid investment takes no more entries.
Cancel an entry made in error
Nothing on the register can be changed or deleted. Click Cancel beside an interest or repayment line, or Cancel Investment, enter the Reason and click Cancel Entry.
The entry stays on the register, marked cancelled with the day and the reason, and no longer counts. Add it again with the right details.
Print the register
Click Print Register. It lists every investment, cancelled ones included, with each particular, every interest and repayment line under it, and what has been received and repaid.
