Sign in. Quick Glance opens first.
At the top right, beside Edit layout, three buttons change the view: Cards, List and Canvas. Point at a button to see its name.
Cards and List show the same widgets in sections. Most businesses have Needs attention, Today, Money and Others. A cafe has Needs attention, Today, Team, Customers and Others. Project cards (Project plan, Stages, Loans due and Progress claims) sit under Projects, after Money. A section with nothing in it is not shown.
Click a section's name to minimise it, and click it again to show it. The count of items needing action stays beside the name while it is minimised. Each browser and phone remembers which sections you minimised. List puts each widget on one line; click the line to see its list. On the phone, the line opens the widget full size as its own screen, with the back arrow at the top left.
To move a widget to another section, click Edit layout and pick the section from the list on the widget.
Canvas shows the widgets where you arranged them in Edit layout. A table, a chart or a report shows in full here.
In the phone app, the same three buttons are at the top right of the Quick Glance tab. On a narrow browser window, click the three dots at the top right instead.
Good afternoon, Eleanor

See your own work first
Your work sits at the top of Quick Glance for anybody with a staff record, admins included. Nobody adds it, and the layout does not change it.
Check in to site comes first, with a Check in button beside each of today's jobs and Choose site for anywhere else. It always sits here, wherever Edit layout places it, so it is never on the page twice. A cafe checks in at its own venue with My check-in PIN & QR code, so it gets no Check in to site.
Your shifts lists your published shifts for the next seven days, the next one first. A draft shift appears once a manager publishes it.
Your next jobs lists the jobs assigned to you after today, each with its day, time and site. Today's jobs are on Check in to site.
The phone app shows the same cards at the top of the Quick Glance tab.
Your leave is at the bottom of Quick Glance, under Leave, in every view and on the phone.
Read what needs you first
Start at Needs attention. Within each section, a widget with something overdue or waiting comes before one that is all clear.
The count beside a section's name, such as 3 items, adds up everything in it that is overdue or waiting on somebody.
A red number is late and needs acting on today. Amber is due soon or waiting on somebody. Green is done or paid. Blue is under way. A 0 is always grey.
A widget with nothing in it is one line, such as 0 dormant.

Money
4 itemsChange how far back a card counts
A card that counts records has three buttons under its name: This week, This month and All time. Jobs on the go and Money owed are two such cards. Click a button and the numbers change at once.
Beside the buttons the card names the date it uses. A job card reads by Scheduled For under the buttons. A record with no date of its own reads by date added.
The card goes back to its starting period when you leave the page. A card about work in motion, such as Jobs on the go, starts on This week. A card about a balance starts on All time. Money owed and Overdue invoices are balances: an invoice unpaid since last month is still owed.
To change where a card starts, click Edit layout and open Canvas. Click the card's gear, then pick How far back and which date counts. Click Save layout.
In the phone app the same three buttons are on the card in Cards view. From List view, tap the card to open its own screen, which has the buttons on it.

Chase unpaid invoices
Find Unpaid invoices under Money. The line under its name gives how many are outstanding and the total due.
Its three numbers are Outstanding, Overdue and 60+ days. Overdue is past its due date, and 60+ days is past due by sixty days or more, the same counts the report gives.
Below them are the five oldest invoices, each with its matter, amount and issue date. An overdue invoice's date is red.
Click an invoice. Its matter's invoices open in a panel on the right, the same as the matter's Invoices tab. Click Record payment beside it, or the three dots for Edit invoice and Void invoice. Click Open matter at the top of the panel to go to the matter.
Click Invoice report for the whole list, or View all and the count when more than five are outstanding, such as View all 9.

Work the invoice report
The report opens on Outstanding, the invoices the card counted. The one furthest past its due date sits at the top.
Each row gives the matter, the invoice number, its status, its issue date, its due date, the days past due and the amount owing. The line above the table counts the invoices and totals what they owe.
Narrow it with Show. Outstanding is sent and still owing. Overdue is owing and past its due date. Finalised covers Sent, Overdue, Paid and Written Off invoices. Draft is Under Review. Void is an invoice somebody cancelled. All is every invoice. Hover a button to read what it covers.
Narrow it further with Overdue by: 1+ days, 30+, 60+ or 90+. An invoice marked Overdue with no due date stays under Any. The numbered buttons leave it out, because it has no number to compare.
Click a column heading to sort by it. Click the same one again to turn it round. A row with no due date or no amount stays at the bottom whichever way the arrow points.
Click a matter to open its invoices in the same panel, where you record a payment, edit or void. Click Back to report to return to the list you filtered.
Click the arrows at the top right for full screen, which gives long matter names their full width. Click Open Invoices table for the raw table with every column on it.

Chase old time
Find Old Time (unbilled) report. In Cards and List it is one line. Click Open to see the report in a panel. In Canvas it shows in full.
Click 5d, 10d, 15d or 30d. The list shows only time entries older than that.
Click Matters to group the entries by matter. Click Times to list each entry on its own.
Click a matter name to open that matter.

Finish setting up
Finish setting up sits at the top of the page, with how many steps are left and the next one. Click it to open the list.
Each row is one thing to do, with one button on the right. The buttons are Resend email, Set up, Gmail or Outlook, Review, Add a card and Add logo.
Click the button on a row. Complete the screen it opens. The row disappears, and the bar disappears when every row is done.
A trade's list starts with Get paid by card. Click Set up. Get paid by card opens over Quick Glance, and Stripe opens in a new tab. Give Stripe your business details and your bank account, then come back to the Quick Glance tab. It checks with Stripe by itself, and the row disappears once card payments are ready.
In the phone app, tap Set up on the same row, then Set up with Stripe. Stripe opens inside the app. Close it when you finish, and the screen checks with Stripe again.
Add, open and archive projects
A property developer's Quick Glance has Projects: a map and a list of current projects. Click Open on it in Cards or List, or find it on Canvas.
Click New project above the list to add one.
Click a project in the list to see its task progress. Click Open under it to see the project in a panel on the right, or Archive to archive it.
Work this week's project tasks
A property developer's or builder's Quick Glance has Project plan, under Projects, and so does every trade's: the open tasks across every current project that are late or due in the next seven days, late first.
Late counts the tasks past their due date and This week the rest. A late task's date reads Was due in red, and one due today or tomorrow is amber.
Click a task to open its project in a panel on the right, where its plan is. Move the task or tick it off there, then close the panel and the card counts again.
Click the arrow at the top of the card to open Projects.
See which stages are behind
A property developer's, builder's or trade's Quick Glance has Stages, under Projects: each sub project of a current project, with how many of its tasks are done.
A stage is Behind when fewer of its tasks are done than were due by today. Those come first, with how many tasks are late in red. The rest count as On track.
Click a stage to open it in a panel on the right and work its tasks there.
Watch loans coming due
A property developer's Quick Glance has Loans due: every loan not marked discharged whose Repayment Date has passed or is in the next 90 days, the soonest first, with the total to repay.
Overdue counts the loans past their repayment date and Due in 90 days the rest. A date in the next 30 days is amber.
Click a loan to open its project, where the Finance Model holds the loan.
Follow progress claims to the invoice
A property developer's, builder's or trade's Quick Glance has Progress claims, under Projects: every claim not invoiced yet, with its project, its number, its status and its claim date.
To invoice counts the claims your client has certified, which come first. Submitted counts those with the client and Drafts those still being written.
Click a claim to open its project's claims in a panel on the right. Change its status, or make it into an invoice, there.
Click the + on the card, choose the project, and its claims open in the panel, where + starts a new claim.
Record time from Quick Glance
A law firm's Quick Glance has Record time, with the hours you have recorded Today and This week and your latest entries.
Click Clock in to start the matter clock. Choose the matter and write what you did while it runs, then Clock out to record it.
Click the + on the card to record time against a matter without the clock. The form is the same one a matter's Time & Fees tab uses, with your own rate.
Draft from a precedent
A law firm's Quick Glance has Precedents: the firm's precedents, the most recently issued first.
Click one, then choose the matter it is for and click Continue. The issue form opens with the matter's details filled in. Check it and issue it on your letterhead.
Run today's roster
A cafe's Quick Glance has Roster: who works Today and Tomorrow, in start order.
A shift somebody has offered up and nobody has taken reads Up for grabs in red, first, and counts under Uncovered. A shift not published yet reads Draft.
Click a shift to open the calendar.
Approve shift swaps
Shift swaps lists the swaps waiting for a decision, who is giving the shift to whom, and when.
Click Approve beside one to approve it. To decline with a reason, click the swap to open the list of swaps.
Check pay against the award
An admin's Quick Glance has Pay against the award: anybody paid less than their award classification or the national minimum wage, with what they are paid an hour and what the award says.
Details missing counts the staff whose pay basis or classification is not filled in, so they cannot be checked.
Click a person to open Pay compliance under Admin, Members.
Add something from a card
A card whose records you can add carries a round + beside its link. In List it sits on the row, beside the arrow. Point at it to see what it adds, such as Add quote, Add job or Add to Jobs.
Click it. The same form opens over Quick Glance as on that feature's own page, in a panel on the right. Fill it in and save; the card updates straight away. Closing a form you have started asks first.
Money owed and Overdue invoices add an invoice rather than a job, because what they count is money already invoiced. The + opens a new invoice in the panel, in the same editor as the Invoices page.
A card with nothing in it yet shows Add in place of the +.
Change what is on it
Press and hold any widget for half a second. The page switches to editing, with Save layout and Discard at the top right, and the widget you are holding moves with the pointer. Edit layout at the top right does the same without a widget in hand.
In Cards or List, drag a widget to a new place, in its own section or another one. It then stays there whatever needs attention. The up and down arrows above each widget do the same, and the list beside them moves it to another section. Click the bin to remove it. Click Add widget to add one.
To make a section of your own, pick New section... from a widget's section list, type a name and press Enter. The widget moves into it. Click the pencil beside a section's name to rename it, or the bin to remove it; its widgets move to Others.
To change the order of the sections, drag one by its name. A bar shows where it will land. Hold it near the top or bottom of the page to scroll.
Click the arrows beside Save layout to undo or redo a change. Cmd+Z and Shift+Cmd+Z do the same (Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y on Windows).
In Canvas, drag a widget to move it. Drag any edge or corner to resize it. A widget cannot be made smaller than its starting size. Click the gear to change what it shows.
Click anywhere outside the widgets to finish. That saves your changes, as Save layout does. Click Discard instead to throw them away.
