Check in at the kiosk

Type your PIN on the shared kiosk, tap your row to check in and out, and start or end a break.

Set up the kiosk

Click Admin in the sidebar. Click Kiosk accounts. Under New kiosk account, type a label and a login email. Sign the shared iPad in with that account.

Still under Admin, open Staff PINs. Click Generate next to each staff member. Give each person their own PIN.

Type your PIN

The kiosk shows Enter your PIN. Tap your six digits. The sixth digit submits on its own.

Tap Scan my QR code instead to hold your phone's QR code up to the camera instead of typing.

Tap the cross to clear the digits. Tap the arrow to delete one.

Enter your PIN

Ask your manager if you don't have one yet.

Check in and out

After your PIN, you see your own row for today. It shows your rostered time and role.

Tap the row. It turns green and reads Checked in · Tap to check out. The time you tapped is listed under Today.

Tap the row again at the end of your shift to check out. Today then shows the hours worked.

Turn a kiosk into a till

Build the till in the assistant first: click AI Assistant in the sidebar, describe what the device should show, then save it. It appears under Apps in the sidebar as one of Your apps.

Click Admin, then Kiosk accounts. On the device's row, change the Opens: Check in dropdown to Opens: your app's name. The device shows that app instead of the check-in list next time it loads.

Set it back to Opens: Check in to make it an ordinary kiosk again.

Take a break, request leave, or swap a shift

While checked in, tap Start break. The row shows how long you have been on break and the target. Tap End break when you are back.

Tap Request leave to send a leave request. Pick the Leave type, the dates, and type your PIN again to send it.

Tap Swap shift to offer an upcoming shift you cannot work, or to pick up one a colleague offered. A manager approves a pickup before the shift moves. It is the same list you see in the app under Swap a shift.
