One login for every company you work in

Plenty of people work in more than one business. A group with a trading company and a holding company. A second entity opened for a new venture. A bookkeeper across several clients.

Most software answers that with a second login, a second password and a second subscription. Diract holds every company you belong to under the one account.

Switching

• Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar. Under Switch company, every company you belong to is listed with the role you hold there. The active one has a dot.
• Click a company. The app reloads into that company's data and settings.
• With many companies a Search companies box appears at the top of the list.

Your role is per company

Being an admin in one company gives you nothing in another. The role is held against the membership, not against you.

That is what makes the arrangement safe for a bookkeeper or an external adviser. They can be in the accounts of one client at full admin and in another at whatever that client decided, and neither client's settings are visible from the other.

Starting another one

1. Click Create new company at the bottom of the menu.
2. Pick what it is for: A law firm, Property / real estate, Cafe / rostering, or Something else. The choice decides which tables and dashboards it starts with.
3. Type the Company name, pick the Country, and click Create company. You become its admin.

Each company is set up on its own

The template choice at creation decides which tables and dashboards the company starts with, so a law firm and a cafe under the same login do not have to share a shape.

The country does more than set the date format. It decides which parts of the product apply at all. Trust accounting and payroll are Australian, and a company set to another country is not shown them or told about them.

What this changes about email

One mailbox can be connected to several of those companies. That matters for signatures, because a mailbox holds only one signature slot.

So an admin nominates the staff whose signature stays this company's wherever they are. Without that, the last company to push wins and a person's signature appears to change when they switch.
